Jose Oberholzer, MD, left, was host to Swiss Ambassador to the United States Urs Ziswiler, second from left, and Minister Martin von Walterskirchen, director of Swiss Business Hub USA , who paid a visit to the Islet Cell Transplant Laboratory in September. Oberholzer, who is Swiss, met with Ambassador Ziswiler to update him about progress being made with the Chicago Project. John DeNardo, CEO of UIC Healthcare System, right, also was on hand.
In March, Oliver Ernst, left, of Ameriprise Financial, hosted a presentation by Chicago Project Director José Oberholzer, MD, right, at Maggiano's Little Italy. Oberholzer spoke about the project's goal to find a functional cure for diabetes. Committee members Martin Schlatter, second from left, and Eric Harkna, were among the guests.
